Course Description
Your ability to become a Project Portfolio Management
(PPM) practitioner to demonstrate best practices in project management on
the job is becoming the standard to compete in today's fast-paced and highly
technical workplace. In this course, you will understand PPM.
Course Objective: You will familiarize yourself with the basic concepts of Project
Portfolio Management (PPM).
Target Student: Managers interested in enhancing their understanding of Project
Portfolio Management or developing Project Portfolio Management skills relating
to business requirements.
Prerequisites: A good understanding on project management. To ensure
your success, we recommend that you first take the following Element K courses
or have equivalent knowledge:
- Project Management Fundamentals
- Project Management Professional (PMP®) Certification: Third Edition
(2008 Update)
Delivery Method: Instructor led, group-paced, classroom-delivery learning model with structured hands-on activities.
Hardware Requirements
The instructor’s computer should have the following hardware configured:
- Intel® Pentium® IV 300 MHz processor
- 64 MB of RAM with 1.0 GB of free hard disk space
- CD-ROM drive
- Super VGA recommended (set at least to 800 x 600 screen resolution)
with 256 colors
- Internet connection
