Prerequisites: It is recommended that the student complete the Microsoft® SharePoint® Designer 2007: Level 1 course prior to this course.

Course Description
Now that you know how to create customized SharePoint sites matching your branding, you may want to extend your sites to include more functionality. With SharePoint Designer, you can extend your sites more easily than before.
Course Objective: You will use SharePoint Designer to extend and customize existing SharePoint sites.Target Student: This course is intended for entry-level SharePoint solution developers who are currently capable of creating basic SharePoint sites using the out-of-the-box functionality provided by the built-in SharePoint Designer templates, and who now want to extend or create SharePoint sites with functionality by incorporating server web controls, data controls, customized workflows, and administration.

Hardware Requirements
You will need two servers and one computer for each person in the class, plus one computer for the instructor. For each of these machines, the following hardware requirements are the minimum suggested for the course:
- Pentium 4, 2 GHz.
- 1 GB of RAM for the SharePoint Services 3.0 server, and 512 MB of RAM for all other machines.
- 4 GB of hard disk space.
- CD-ROM or DVD drive.
- VGA or higher video.
- Keyboard and mouse.
- A display system to project the instructor's computer screen.
- Internet access for all computers.
